Placed in addition to the "normal" single distant signal. The repeater signal is necessary if the block signal cannot be seen from a distance of 400 m. It has a white light (kennlicht) on the left side of the "usual" distant signal head. It differentiates from the normal and short breaking type because it doesn't have a Ne2 plate (see sh1's supplemental signals page).
